I posted this a little over a month ago on my Facebook wall, but evidently I need to share it further… Nevermind the irony that I ask to share it while having Adsense on this site!
SECURITY ALERT – DO NOT LET THE GEO-TAGGING SCARE-MONGERING FOOL YOU!!! – The vast majority of sites remove non-essential EXIF data from images, including geotags. On the left is the original, taken of my rear bumper with new WV plate as you can look on my wall. On the right is the image you’re looking @ on Facebook as it is displayed. No GPS fields.
Now, if you’re emailing the pictures directly to someone, sharing them through a cloud file-sharing service like Dropbox, Google Drive, etc… that’s another story. But when you right-click the image in Windows and go to Properties > Details, you have the ability to remove information just like is displayed in my screenshot. SHARE THIS WITH EVERYONE YOU WANT, I’M NOT IN IT TO MAKE MONEY OFF THE ADS ON MY WEBSITE/VIDEO!
